Cool looking character, I assume she Is a schoolgirl. Its a shame that you didn't upload this to NG on her birthday though.

Yesterday is the day I created the character so that technically is her birthday(well it doesn't have to be.)
plus I didn't finish the picture till today so yea. :P

Since you asked for critique i will try to provide. The reason you see a problem with your shading (I believe) is when you use the shading lines to give the head more demension the shading is all one color. You do seem to know where to put the lines in order to give that effect at least partially you just need to put more layers on each shadeline. (I am not an artist so if this doesn't help sorry)
